I THINK he means that the guilds Eye of Set and Syndicate are about to merge into a super-guild. I believe this has already happened--sort of.

Well I actually got some info from the horses mouth! EoS and Syndicate in a "Cheaters" kinda move are merging! Let me explain, EoS is moving all their Mains to Syndicate to enhance raid experience. Why then do I call this a "Cheaters" move I'll tell you why.....BECAUSE IT IS! Is it right to take your lvl 80 toon out and move it into an amassed guild simply to get gear? Yet leave your alts in guild to keep it alive, I mean that is what this is all about isnt it? There is no Guild integrity in doing this, it is not life or death and even if the server mergers do not happen for a couple of months what does that mean for the rest of us? Well I will tell you what! It means, it means that when Unconquered Raids it will be monumental, we will have not foresaken our guild or taken the easy way out to get to that point, we will be formidable and stronger for it! I have no issue if you want to join up with another guild in a raid, hell I have done it several times....but I am not leaving my guild oh say for awhile and then coming back stronger! Maybe I am way off base but you will NEVER find any of my toons joining temporarily another guild for any reason! I mean should EoS have the right to keep their Guild City yet partially join another guild? I Think Not! Post your thoughts please!

Ill stick with you guys. I like our guild even if it is small at the moment. Theres nothing wrong with being small if anything we are stronger for it cuz we learn how to work together better.

There is a difference between playing the game for fun and playing the game because it is a power trip and it seems EOS/Sny wants to take the power trip route.
On the raid front its okay to group but to "Cheat" the system is not fair. I'm not saying Funcom should lvl their guild city in retribution but maybe (big maybe) guild allegiance should be account based not toon based.
A vote for "small" guilds is a vote for fun!!

i had initially toyed with the idea of sending one of my 80s to EoS...i'd much rather keep them here. If they invite to me join them for raids i'll happily go, but if they lock me out of rolling for decent loot i'll simply take my bat and ball and go home... i have to confess that i still have a low level toon in what used to be Hyborian Raiders just to keep the city in existence... still having trouble completely severing the ties to what i helped build...actually theres 2 there, but they're not active so until i decide to actually play them there isn't much point bringing them to unconquered... ...the morale to the story - the day i leave Unconquered will be the day before i cancel my AoC account Hail to the king baby!

LOL..Thanks Black...I CAN SEE YA! I am not the greatest Guild leader on the planet of that I am sure and maybe I SHOULD be the one who leads Raids and such but I will say that there are few that are as committed to the Guild as Blackjack, Sonya and I have been...and all of you who joined recently are a welcomed addition to this guild, we are standing up for our little piece of Hyboria! Blackened, Blackjack, Sonya and I are the really the only ones of the original Guild , if you will, left and we are damn proud of it! Good to get responses on this subject, the core group we have is going to be the welcome wagon for all the new characters coming with this merger so I will put something together...with all of your input....as to some sort of SOP so when we do have an influx of members all will benefit and all will enjoy the game experiences!

I forsee many more guild mergers to come... especially if we discover that there aren't enough new players on the merged server... then again, maybe we can start assimilation other guilds into ours..Borg style. We are Unconquered; resistance is futile...

I don't really care what EoS or Syndicate does. I only care about what we do. We're doing it right, and will continue to do so. Long Live Unconquered!!

Once you hit level 80 there are basically 4 things to do, better equip yourself through grinding or instances, raiding, pvp or start up another character.
Most of us have already done the grinding for equipment to some extent and already brought a new character to level 80 or more than one character.
The things we haven't done much of is raiding and pvp. Raiding will always be possible although we probably need at least 4 times the people we currently have in the guild to be able to do it with any regularity. In order to accomplish that we can recruit or merge with other guilds.
In order to participate in pvp especially with sieging you really need to have large guild. Eye of Set and Syndicate in addition to raiding are positioning themselves for sieging. Eye of Set never had a battlekeep now they can help defend Syndicates and attack with them in sieges. Once the servers merge, I'm sure we will find a few more of these super guilds and it will be these guilds primarily that participate in sieges both attacking and defending.
We've seen how our previous sieges have gone. If it wasn't for the fact that we had an agreement (sort of) with Syndicate, our keep would have been destroyed. Really it would have been stupid of them to do that since we had the only other keep on the server but once the server merge happens there will be several large guilds that maintain battlekeeps and they may not have sympathy for a small guild trying to maintain one. This means we may have a hard time maintaining it or there may even be competition to even own one. This will mean we may need even more members than I predicted for raiding. Building a battlekeep is something I'd only consider after we get bigger and after seeing what the merged server environment is like.
Just a few thoughts.

I still think we should focus on getting the city itself finished before building a new battlekeep... wouldn't it be nice to actually finish a trade? Maybe we can hire ourselves out as mercenaries to other guilds to participate in sieges in the meantime...

I agree Guild city Progression is higher on my list than anything else, but Merc hiring is only on a PVP server.....so in theory someone could say they would pay but not do it where as there is no choice on a PVP server, merc hiring is a contractual agreement and the monies are automatically givin at the end of siege (all this per a GM). I am not concerned about super guilds, if it is to be that a super guild is our only choice then so be it but I would just as soon go criminal before that happens...lol

I also think we shouuld hold off rebuilding the battlekeep after the server merge and use the reinbersed mats, if we indeed get some, on for our guild city.
I also wouldnt be adverse to seiging with another guild even if they dont pay us. Its stil some good pvp xp and it might be even be fun.

Thorarinsson is trying to get us to move an alt to Syndicate so we can raid with em... he is of the opinion that it's the only way to get purple gear... screw that. I think once the servers have finally (if ever) merged there will be plenty of players and or other guilds to ally with for raiding. We may even come across guilds far larger than EoS and Syn... (fingers crossed) then guild alliances will actually mean something as we join forces to bring Syndicate to it's knees... (I maintain that EoS , not having any inclination toward any PvP at all, will never be a threat to our battlekeep) if we build one that is...
